Undergraduate
Most physics students have an innate curiosity about nature, and they heavily utilize mathematics to describe the world around them. Our program prepares majors with the necessary technical knowledge and skills, intellectual curiosity, and ethical awareness to become life long learners who contribute to society. To serve a variety of career objectives and interests, the Physics Department offers five concertrations leading to a baccalaureate degree.
A minor in Physics is a great way to supplement any science major or simply support a student who would like a well-rounded background. Many math and engineering students decide to enhance their majors with a minor in Physics.
Graduate
The Ph.D. program educates students to become scholars and researchers of physics. Our graduates are trained to teach and to carry out original research that is theoretical, experimental, or both. Our program prepares scientists for careers in academic, industrial, and government settings.
The Master's program in physics provides an education within experimental and theoretical physics and aims at giving the candidates a broad professional background in physics. The candidate can focus the program towards a variety of topics based on ongoing research activities at the Physics Department.
