The Cybersecurity Impact Learning Community is open to anyone who has an interest in Cybersecurity (majors, minors, and non-majors). You will develop a cybersecurity ePortfolio showcasing your understanding about current trends related to cybersecurity. Topics considered in the Criminal Justice and Information Technology courses will integrate cybersecurity themes. You also will meet weekly with an academically successful peer mentor. Co-curricular activities will be included.
The courses in this Impact Learning Community are: Basic Information Literacy & Research (IT 150G), Intro to Criminology (CRJS 215S), and Cyber Explorers & University Orientation (CYSE 100)

The Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ School of Cybersecurity is pleased to announce a new scholarship program for students who are majoring in Cybersecurity. These are four year scholarships ($8,888 per year, total: $35,552) available to talented students with demonstrated financial need.
The Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ School of Cybersecurity has received funding from the National Science Foundation's CyberCorps® Scholarship for Service (SFS) initiative to create the Cyber LeADERS Scholars program. In partnership with Thomas Nelson Community College (TNCC) and Tidewater Community College (TCC), Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ's School of Cybersecurity will provide selected students the opportunity to receive 2-3 years of support. Students receiving the scholarship must work for the federal government in select cybersecurity positions for the same number of years for which they received scholarship support.
The DoD CSA is sponsored by the DoD Chief Information Office and administered by the National Security Agency (NSA).
The DoD CSA is both a scholarship program for the DoD, and a capacity building tool for the nation. The program is a result of commitment from DoD and Congress to support higher education as a means to prepare the DoD workforce to deal with threats against the Department’s critical information system and networks.
The Naval Research Enterprise Internship Program (NREIP) provides an opportunity for college students to participate in research at a Department of Navy (DoN) laboratory during the summer. The goals of NREIP are to encourage participating college students to pursue science and engineering careers, to further education via mentoring by laboratory personnel and their participation in research, and to make them aware of DoN research and technology efforts, which can lead to employment within the DoN. NREIP is providing competitive research internships to approximately 800 college students this year. Participating students spend ten weeks during the summer conducting research at 45 DoN laboratories. Ìýâ–º
