The Center for Educational Partnerships is pleased to release a new website and database that gathers and shares Virginia's cultural, historical and scientific resources. The online resources can be used to teach different topics within the core curriculum including reading, writing, history, geography, civics, economics, and STEM. The intent of this 'living' database is to be a user-friendly and up-to-date gathering point for resources that originate from Virginia's museum collections, historical sites, science centers, and other environments in which learning takes place.
Please explore the database by clicking . We welcome feedback and encourage users to add new resources as they find them.
The Discovery Database project was initiated by Dr. Joanna Garner, Executive Director of The Center for Educational Partnerships. Dr. Garner would like to extend special thanks to the following project contributors: Dr. Jim Schreiber, Duquesne University; Jennifer Thomas, Virginia Association of Museums; Dr. Terrell Perry, Instructional Designer; Amber Inwood, Museum Education Specialist; and Alexandra Carver, TCEP Education Specialist.
