As AI continues to seep into the fabric of higher education from enrollment to alumni relations, its impact is likely to be far-reaching and game changing. The recent release of ChatGPT, a conversational AI chatbot, generated a mixture of reactions ranging from excitement to worries.The panel will explore the opportunities and challenges that AI brings to teaching and learning practices by discussing the following questions:
- How is AI reshaping faculty roles and teaching practices?
- How is AI influencing students' learning experiences?
- What is the impact of AI on assessment and academic integrity?
- What are the opportunities offered by AI to personalize the student learning experience?
- What are the ethical and technical challenges associated with AI in higher education?
- How can we harness AI to improve teaching and learning practices?
