A contralto, originally from Hot Springs, Arkansas, Dr. Montgomery joined the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ voice faculty in 2010. Formerly on the faculties of Pittsburg State University, Ithaca College, and Mississippi State University, her academic credits include lectures and recitals associated with MTNA and College Music Society in addition to performances/master classes in Ireland and Canada. Overseas concert tours to the Middle East, Asia, and Europe in addition to regional performances with Des Moines Metro Opera, Cincinnati Opera, New York Baroque, and Bloomington Music Works, to name but a few, have additionally contributed to Dr. Montgomery's diverse professional dossier. Her education includes a BM in performance in piano accompanying from University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, an MM in vocal performance from Indiana University, and the Doctor of Music in vocal performance degree, also from Indiana University. Dr. Montgomery's final project is entitled, "Francois Poulenc's Le Travail du Peintre: Performance and Pedagogy Solutions".
