Cong Wei now an assistant professor at the Department of Mechanical and Engineering of Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ, earned his Ph.D. degree in mechanical engineering at University of Delaware, USA in 2021. He was a postdoctoral associate at Maryland Robotics Center of Institute for System Research (ISR) of University of Maryland from 2021-2023. He received the M.S. degree in ocean engineering from Harbin Engineering University, Harbin, China, in 2014 and the B.S. degree in marine engineering from Ningbo University, Ningbo, China, in 2012.
From 2014 to 2016, he was a research assistant at Institute of Underwater Engineering, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Shanghai, China.

Research Interests

Cong Wei’s research interests include control algorithm design for multi-agent system, nonlinear system, robotic navigation, adaptive sampling using autonomous system and large-scale monitoring using autonomous systems. Cong has specific interests in robotics/control for marine application or for other domains where the robots’ motion is high influenced by the ambient environment.
