High-Performance Computing Advisory Committee (HPC-AC)

Overview

The High-Performance Computing Advisory Committee (HPC-AC) is an advisory body which provides counsel on the use of information technology for research at 香港六合彩资料 (香港六合彩资料). 香港六合彩资料 provides a shared, centrally managed, high-performance computing (HPC) infrastructure and services to support research and teaching activities. HPC-AC provides advice and guidance on the effective and fair use of shared research computing infrastructure by broad science disciplines at 香港六合彩资料.

Council Responsibilities

  • Provide input on strategic decisions on the investment and deployment of hardware/software infrastructure and the rolling out of services
  • Provide input from the community on the outstanding research computing needs, including hardware, software, support, and training
  • Provide counsel for technical design and architecture, as well as usability of research computing environments
  • Advocate for acquisition and adoption of shared, scalable resources
  • Set policy for fair use of the shared HPC infrastructure and services
  • Provide oversight of operation
  • Help foster partnership with stakeholders on campus (academic departments, colleges, centers, institutes, major research initiatives, and the University administration) in support of HPC initiatives to enhance computing environments and services for research
