Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ's Remote Experience for Young Engineers and Scientists (REYES) virtual STEM-H learning experience summer program will get underway June 27 and run through Aug. 19.
The program, which is designed to increase science literacy and inspire and train the next generation of engineers and scientists, will bring together 11,000 students from 135 countries. REYES offers a free virtual mentoring program - in which students are paired with a faculty member to work on a research project - lectures, panels and activities in a variety of topics.
Program organizers are committed to helping diversify science fields with statistically underrepresented students, including women.
Guest faculty and researchers from Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ, NASA, Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility (Jefferson Lab), MIT, University of California, Berkeley, University of Puerto Rico, Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) and other global educational and research institutions will participate.
