The Center for Educational Partnerships at ϲ, the Virginia Space Grant Consortium, the ϲ Libraries and the Slover Library are holding a contest to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the moon landing.

"Voyages and Discoveries: Cross-Generational Reflections on the Significance of Space Exploration" seeks submissions from two-person adult-teen or adult-child teams recalling the July 20, 1969, landing and providing thoughts on the future of space exploration. Teams may submit a written story, poem or dialogue with an illustration to accompany the text. The deadline for entries is May 31. Age categories are 4-7, 8-11, 12-15 and 16-19.

Workshops to provide help for the submissions will be held at 12:30 p.m. in rooms 555 and 290 in the Slover Library on April 12, 19, 26 and May 3, 10, 17 and 24.

Finalists will be announced June 14, and the winners will be honored at an awards ceremony at the Slover Library on June 30.
